Create curve for leg controller and body controller. Select all curves then go to modify > freeze transformations. This would be useful at the time of you later movement controller, you can return position of controller to position of default like the existing.

Applies IK handle tool to make IK handle. Select leg1 and leg3 to apply IK Handle tool.

Then, applies IK handle tool and select leg 3 and leg4.

Select IK2, IK3 and controller curve (must be successive) then parent (press p). For other legs of you can repeat above ways.
