Modeling Mail Box

Welcome to my Maya tutorial, this of we will do modeling mail box. Actually I am not too knew how forming of mail box, because in my house there is no mail box. So, forms of mail box which I am create this only from my imagination. For this tutorial I only explain just some parts of modeling mail box, the rest you can do by your self. This is not difficult, just tries.

1. If you saw picture hereunder, to make mail box is not too complicated. Picture left side is beginning of from modeling mail box.

2. To make mail box pillar you can start it with create cube, adds some edges (sees picture below). Then extrude is some part and last done bevel, that every side is more seen rounded and not seen sharp.

3. Create cube for place of mail box and does bevel.

4. This step optional, you can add decoration like picture below. Firstly create decoration line by using curve then create polygon plane, places in the beginning of curve and extrude. increase subdivision in channel box polygon.

5. For mail box, firstly create cylinder then form of like picture hereunder.

6. Delete faces in frontage and back mail box.

7. Delete edges

8. Close mail box holes. You can apply append tool.

9. add some edges.

10. To make mail box cover, select the faces in front of mail box, then extract.

11. Little scale in mail box cover. Select all edges border, then extrude.

12. For rest from modeling mail box you can do by your self. End results which I am create like picture hereunder.
