Modeling Human

March 14th, 2008

We finish for front head. I’m using sculpt geometry tool for shape the front face but I must smooth polygon first use convert polygon to subdiv. I’m combining sculpt operation like pull, push, smooth and relax. If I satisfy with the result of sculpting I’m back to polygon using convert subdiv to polygon (tessellation method vertices). That more fast then I drag vertexes. I always make quick shape for vertexes because I using sculpt tool in the end of modeling.

Now we start modeling neck. Select edges under chin. Extrude three times.

Select edges and extrude back.

Select edges and extrude.

Select vertexes (picture below) and merge it

Make quick shape, just follow the curve.

We fix neck area. Add edges using split polygon. And delete edges (red cross).

And make quick shape. Just make look proportional like head.

Smooth polygon (like front head). Sculpt the head (sculpt it until you feel stratify).

Modeling a ear. Select faces and delete faces

This not detail ear. I start using polygon tool to create plane polygon and I append that plane.
