I start modeling cartoon monster - one eye with making cube and delete half from cube.

Tweaks vertexes to seen like picture below (no. 1), then create sphere for eye. Sphere good for determining big of eye hole.

Add edges for head part.

Now it’s the moment makes mouth. Add edges for lips part(no. 1). Add edges again (no. 2 & 3). Last of extrude part of lip to make mouth hole.

Return to part of eye to make a few more detail. Here you only add loop edge and tweaks vertexes.

To make part of tail, you only need to extrude the backside body.

To make part of you hand can start it from cube then extrude (no. 2) and add edges (no. 3).

Does like step before all.

This is result for part of shoulder.

After completed with modeling hand, then combine with body part and merge vertexes.

This is result from modeling cartoon monster.

For detailing, adds edges like picture below (no. 1). Then tweak the vertexes (no. 2).

The last you can make gum and tooth.

This is result from rendering modeling cartoon monster – one eye.
