Maya Basic: Create a Project

In this Maya tutorial we will learn how to create a project in Maya. Maybe you have a question why we must create a project? For me project is very important because of Maya is complexity and we often makes many files in one project. If you create a project, all files will store in one folder and that more easily to manage the project.
Ok, talk less do more. We start this tutorial.

Step 1
Go to file > Project > New.

You will see this image on your scene.

Step 2
Enter a name for the project.
(Optional) Click browse if you want change the location of your project.
Click Use Defaults.

Now you have project folder and it has multiple subfolders created with the default folder names.

How to set a project?
That easy just go to file > project > set > select the project folder and click OK.

That’s simple but very useful.
