Create square curve with EP curve don’t use nurbs primitive square cause not working with this tutorial.

And create path curve

Click the surface and see in channel box, you have two nodes in inputs subcurve1 and subcurve2.

Select subcurve2 and press “t” on your keyboard and you will see line with two blue markers.

Now you can animate the surface with drag blue marker or edit max value in subcurve2. for example go to frame 0 and set max value in subcurve2 to 0, right click on max value in subcurve2, chose key selected. go to frame 24 and set max value in subcurve2 to 1, right click on max value in subcurve2, chose key selected. Now click play

You can close end of surface. Right click on the surface, chose isopram. Select isopram in the end of surface. Go to surface > planar.

Note: if you want close the end of surface, you must set the max value in subcurve2 to 1. if not like that. See the picture below. I create planar surface at max value in subcurve2 0.5. when I increase the max value in subcurve2 the planar surface not following but if I decrease the max value the planar surface will following.

crate planar

increase max value in subcurve2
